I'm Jools. Founder of Life & Fork. I'm a nutritionist, having worked in the industry over 15 years and I’m also a mum of three. I work full time and spend the majority of my free time shipping my kids around to every extra curricular activity under the sun!
I’m in no man’s land - stuck between a brain that is full of nutritional knowledge and what is ideal, and a lifestyle that challenges these ideals hour after hour!
I see all too often women putting their 'fun' on hold in order to get to a certain weight or dress size, when I know there's such a better way to do this. Imagine starting this journey where the actual process is as enjoyable as getting to your goal. Where the process is sustainable and you slide into your targets without really realising because it has become a side effect of doing all the nice stuff on the way!
I want to show you that there are plenty of ways to make your goals attainable, even when you’re in the midst of the circus that is parenting and/or fitting in time for you around your work. That a lot of the things you think are prerequisites for weight loss or improving your wellbeing are, in many cases entirely pointless and have simply been created to add 'buy in' to the latest fad diet or slimming club. This is an industry full of ideals and misconceptions that have ultimately led to us all feeling a little like the majority of what we eat isn't up to scratch, and that makes us feel like we're failing, and I hate that!
This is a programme designed to challenge you by enlightening you , breaking down the decades of diet culture you have either knowingly or unknowingly absorbed, and learn how to enjoy the journey on getting to your goals instead of putting your life on hold in order to get there.
We are claiming back the dinner table as a happy place.
